Wellness Committee Members Needed
The Clarinda Community Schools are committed to providing healthy meals and health-promoting opportunities for all students. The District follows a wellness plan that works to give every student wellness opportunities throughout the school year.
Due to a number of retirements/job changes, we are without committee members to annually review the policy, and bring suggestions and expertise to meeting our goals. Are you someone who is interested in child health and nutrition? You could be an important part of our committee.
We meet annually to review our policy and are flexible with our scheduling, and would work with anyone who would like to join our committee. Please contact Traci DeBolt, at tdebolt@clarindacsd.org if you are interested or would like additional information. Please join us and be a voice for our students’ wellness needs. |

BREAKFAST & LUNCH Our schools offer a healthy breakfast to help students get off to a good start. We offer many breakfast options including a hot and cold breakfast. Breakfast is served from 7:45-8:15 for grades PK-6 and from 7:30-8:10 for grades 7-12. The cost of breakfast is $1.30 and includes the option for fruit, juice, and milk. If you experience a change in income, you are encouraged to apply for free or reduced lunch benefits. The application process is confidential and can be submitted at anytime during the school year. Applications are on the district web page or at any district office. They can also be mailed to you if requested. Please email Traci DeBolt with any questions: tdebolt@clarindacsd.org 712-542-5165 |
