Student Activity Passes Free of Charge
Cardinal Family,
We hope this letter finds you well and excited for the school year. We are thrilled to announce a new initiative that we believe will greatly enhance the sense of community and unity within our school district.
Beginning this school year, we are excited to inform you that all students 7-12 and PK-6 with a paying adult in the Clarinda Community School District (CCSD) will have the incredible opportunity to attend all Clarinda home events free of charge. This decision was made to foster a stronger connection between our students, families, and the broader community. Attending school events supports our student-athletes, performers, and artists and provides a platform for our community to come together, celebrate achievements, and build lasting memories. By removing the financial barrier to attendance, we hope to encourage greater participation and involvement from students, parents, and guardians.
Our commitment to providing a well-rounded education extends beyond the classroom, and we believe that participating in extracurricular activities and supporting our peers is an integral part of a holistic education. We are dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where everyone can experience the excitement of our home events, whether it's a football game under the Friday night lights, a riveting basketball match, a captivating theater performance, or any of the other wonderful events our students partake in.
This initiative was only possible with the collaborative efforts of our school board and school district administrators after the sale of the Shopko building. This decision will positively impact on our student’s overall experience and contribute to the unity that makes our community truly special.
We want to thank everyone for their continued support of our schools and for entrusting us with the education and well-being of our students. We look forward to welcoming you all to our home events and creating memorable experiences.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jake Lord at the high school. Thank you once again for your unwavering support. Those who already paid for a pass will be refunded after September 1st.
Here's to an exciting and inclusive school year ahead!
