Superintendent Search

Seven candidates were screened on Monday, March 21st by the Clarinda School Board. Based on the interviews, reference checks, and application materials three finalists have been named. These three finalists have been invited to Clarinda for formal interviews on Tuesday, March 29th. Formal interviews will include sessions with students, teachers/support staff, administrators, community members/parents, and the school board. The interview schedule will also include a tour of the district facilities and community with current superintendent Paul Honnold. The school board hopes to name a new superintendent on (or before) Monday, April 4th. Finalists for the job include:

Deron Stender (Virginia ISD 706 Superintendent, MN)

Gregg Cruickshank (Sidney Community Schools/South Page Community Schools Shared Superintendent, IA)

Vance Dalzin (Fox Point - Bayside School District Superintendent, WI)
