“Iowa College Goal Sunday” - Fill Out the FAFSA Day
College Goal Sunday is a program in which trained volunteers provide free, on-site assistance to students and families in filing the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid). The FAFSA is the federally required form for students seeking financial aid for college completing the FAFSA is the first and most important step in qualifying for aid.
Iowa Western Community College – Clarinda Campus is one of the College Goal Sunday designated sites. The FAFSA assistance workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, February 17, 2016 from 5:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. in the IWCC – Opitz Hall room 109. Any student is invited to come regardless of their college choice. A representative from the Iowa College Access Network will be there to assist you. You will need to bring the following items:

Alien registration number or permanent residence card (if you are not a U.S. citizen)
You also should get a PIN number now if you haven’t secured one yet. Go to www.pin.ed.gov for you and your student’s number. You need to have a parent number and a student number to file on the WEB. If you have a student in college already, you can use the same parent number.
