Launch the media gallery 1 playerThe 2014-15 basketball season is officially underway! The Cardinal Boys squad has a total of 34 players this year in the 9-12 grade. The squad includes five seniors, ten juniors, twelve sophomores, and seven freshman. The Varsity squad returns two starters in Austin Smith and Jett Kettwick. The three other seniors are Dedric Kettwick, Alex Chambers, and Zach Woodard. The Juniors on this year’s Varsity squad include Jacob Carlson, Jacob Degase, Josh Espinosa, Elijah Bix, and Alex Stull. There are three Sophomores on the Varsity squad as well, Donevan Kelley, Conner Pirtle, and Deitrich Engstrand.
The JV members on this year’s squad include Juniors Trevor Richardson, Andrew Foster, Jacob Brooks, Mark Engstrand, and Daniel Frey. Sophomores are Zach Carlson, Cody Hayes, Cody McClarnon, Jasper Fine, Josh Degase, Evan Romanowski, Carlton Rahn, Tyler Lucado, and Travus McGregor.
The 9th Grade squad members are: Adrien Salway, Raymond Nellis, Noah McKinnon, Wyatt Fitzpatrick, Brady Strait, Austin Goudie, and Isaiah Byerly.
The Manager for this year’s squad is Taylor Honeysuckle.
The squad is working hard and looking forward to competing in the Hawkeye 10 again this year. We started the season by bringing in a professional shooting instructor, Casey Dudek, to work with the basketball players in 7-12 grade. It was a great experience for the players.
