Williams is Booster of the Year
Roger Williams, a 1979 Clarinda High School graduate was named Clarinda Booster of the Year during Clarinda's basketball game on Saturday, February 8, by the booster club. Roger has been coaching in Clarinda since 1987. He has coached seventh and eighth-grade football and ninth-grade basketball. Since 1990 he has been assistant football coach and a volunteer coach for track, helping with disc and shot put. Roger also serves the community as the Clarinda Fire Chief. Roger has been an inspiration for the girls and boys athletic programs. He pushes them to give 110 percent and always encourages them to strive to be better, and to work hard. Roger, when not coaching can still be seen in the stands supporting other Clarinda athletes. Roger leads by example always encouraging the athletes to DYJ (DO YOUR JOB).
