Iowa Western Community College in Clarinda and the Iowa College Access Network (ICAN) will be sponsoring a FAFSA help session on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 from 5:00 pm to 7:00pm on the Clarinda Campus. This session is to give students and parents an opportunity to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2018-19 college year. It will be a computer lab session for students and parents to complete the FAFSA with expert help available. Steve Irvin from ICAN will be available to give help and answer questions. This event is intended for a student going to any college and is not limited to just IWCC students. It will be located on the IWCC campus in Clarinda at 923 E. Washington in the Opitz Building in room 109
For information on what to bring, go to the ICAN website at icansucceed.org and click on the FAFSA Appointments –What to Bring link and use the link for the 2018-19 college year. Also for high school seniors, one parent who will be on the FAFSA and the student going to college will need to have set up a Federal Student Aid ID to log into and to sign the FAFSA electronically. Go to icansucceed.org and click on the Setting up an FSA ID link on the ICAN website. This event is free of charge and no appointments are necessary.
