Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress
The Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP) is the new state approved assessment that will be given to our students this month. The ISASP is aligned with the Iowa Core standards, providing a clear and accurate assessment of student learning.
The ISASP assessments are developed for the state of Iowa and align with the grade specific Iowa Core standards. The new assessments will be taken online. Students will take the ISASP assessments in the following subject areas and grades:
Math: Grades 3–11
Language/Writing: Grades 3–11
Reading: Grades 3–11
Science: Grades 5, 8 & 10
The ISASP assessments will provide parents with valuable information about their child’s learning. The results will provide a detailed analysis of how students performed relevant to the proficiency definitions set on the Iowa Core standards. Student results will be available for parents to review in the fall of 2019. Over time, parents will also be able to access year-over-year analysis of how their child is performing.
Please support the district and plan for your child(ren) to be at school
