We Choose Kind. #clarindakind
The district continues to implement learning objectives for bullying and harassment prevention by sponsoring events that build awareness and create partnerships with our families. To reduce bullying and harassment, our goal is to influence the climate of the school and form acceptable social norms. It is “cool” to help students who are bullied or harassed by being a up-stander.
This requires the support and effort of everyone in our school and community. The district will be celebrating Clarinda Kindness Week February 12-16. #clarindakind is a movement to inspire positive change in our schools and community. The goal is to influence the culture of Clarinda by promoting kindness through positive reinforcement and awareness. One of the district initiatives is to partner with stakeholders to address bullying and harassment in our schools. We hope to inspire the community to join this effort to support kindness and empower students to be "up-standers" in their classrooms, families, and in the community. We want all of our students and staff to practice Clarinda Kind and supporting a culture of positive relationships and behaviors.
On February 15, all students and staff will be wearing a t-shirt supporting #clarindakind. Please encourage students to share this message with you by asking them what this means and what they are doing to be #clarindakind every day! Please stay tuned for more exciting events to be held during Clarinda Kindness Week, February 12-16!
