The Clarinda Middle School First Lego League teams competed in regional competition in Johnston on Sunday, December 17. The three teams started working hard on building their robots, programming, and research for their projects in early September. Their hard work paid off with multiple awards. The Super Legos, consisting of Sarah Tunnicliff, John Schwab, Arin Wittler, and Taylor Wagoner, received recognition for their hard work and dedication throughout the season.  The Aqua Extreme team, consisting of Robin Lin, Ayva Shampang, Lydia Gustafson, and Tucker Gordon, won an award for Core Values. Core Values consist of an activity that the teams must complete and a question/answer session about their teamwork throughout the season. The Liquid Legos (pictured left to right: Emma McKinnon, Treyton Schaapherder, Phoebe Garrett, Madelyn Sharr, and Xavier DeGroot; Not pictured: Cecilia Baldwin) are advancing  to state competition.
